THE Royal National Lifeboat Institution wants adventurous mountain bikers from the Warrington area to join its team for the Sierra Nevada Cycle Challenge in Spain in September.
Starting from Granada, the 125km off-road trail will offer plenty of thrills and spills - wild terrain, big climbs and stunning scenery - possibly with a hint of snow, but hopefully no mud! An exhilarating downhill descent to the shores of the Mediterranean tops off the ride.
Every rider will need to raise or pay a minimum of £850, to cover the cost of the trip and make a donation to the RNLI.
For those who prefer to stay closer to home, the RNLI can offer the Peak District Bike n' Hike Challenge on October 6 and 7.
This time a minimum donation of £199 enables the team members to cycle or walk some of Britain's most stunning scenery at a pace that suits them.
Anyone interested in tackling either of these events, should contact Philippa Thompson, fundraising events organiser, on 01202 663441.
