WARRINGTON RUFC will hold their annual dinner at the Statham Lodge Hotel tomorrow, Friday.

The club's new president is Dave Roughley, who takes over from Jon Jones after his two-year period of office.

Roughley, who lives in Thelwall, joined the club in the early 1960s as a 16-year-old before moving on to the highly successful Liverpool Club.

Playing in the centre he went on to play for the full England side during the 1973-74 season before returning to Warrington where he played and coached until 1980.

Roughley has continued to fulfil an active role within the club throughout the last 20 years and the honour of presidency is a suitable reward for his hard work and commitment.
