BOSSES at Caledonia Motor Group say the sell-off of their Renault operations in Warrington and Wigan will help their reinvestment plans.
Part of the deal will see the company's Thelwall Lane site taken over by rivals Arnold Clark, for an undisclosed sum.
The move will not affect Caledonia's Fiat and Alfa Romeo businesses in Warrington, based on Winwick Road, and their other 16 sites across the north west, it has been confirmed.
Paul Batty, CMG chairman, said: "The sale of the Renault sites has allowed us to free up working capital which will be invested back into the group."
He pledged that the group would continue to be a key player in both the private and commercial markets.
Elsewhere CMG, which sell over 26,000 new and used vehicles every year, also have Honda, Citroen and Peugeot dealerships.
