A MANAGING director from Northwich and his team have created a computer package to help housing organisations maintain their services.

Chris Hill, from Sandiway, and his colleagues at IT company Brooknet Technology have launched a new computer software package to help housing organisations operate effectively under new Government legislation, the Supporting People Programme, that was introduced in April.

Brooknet's Support Agency Recording System cuts through paper work yet enables staff to meet all the requirements of the new legislation.

The package has already been snapped up by some supported housing groups.

Mr Hill said: "We are delighted with the take up of the new software.

"Our priority in developing Support Agency Recording System was simple.

"It had to meet the accountability requirements of the new legislation in a totally user friendly package.

"As well as delivering all the mandatory requirements of Supporting People, SARS had to provide instant access to a wealth of critical information about service users and support provision that would take days, if not weeks to collate and analyse using traditional paper methods."

The new software automatically generates performance returns and allows users to self assess their services against national standards.

Extensive reporting features also enable providers to analyse service users and produce management reports.
