Castle beat The Burma 5/4 to go third, Weston Point SC are fifth after beating Pavilions B 6/3.
Royal Oak gained their first points of the season, a 19-dart game from Mike O'Dwyer helped them beat Grapes 5/4.
Section four leaders Fiddlers III beat Union Pods 7/2, second placed Navvy Lads were 3-0 down at one stage but ran out 5/4. Clarendon's had a shortage of players. Quayside beat Trannie Mix 6/3. Halfway Mixed beat Them Lot 7/2.
Albion beat Halfway A 8/1, Phil Littler finished in 18 darts and Nigel Peterson hit a maximum.
Navvy whitewashed Lion Doo Waps 9-0, Graham Littlemore and Pat Smyth both finished in 19 darts, Martin Walsh hit a maximum for the losers.
Tricorn went third after beating Wanderers 7/2, the losers Les Illidge hitting a 177.
A 5/4 win against Likely Lads helped Roundhouse A to go fourth thanks partly to a 146 finish from Clive Hooper.
Wilson's Paul Mercer recorded a 19 dart game but his team lost 7/2 to Outcasts.
Halton Marauders Harry Ellis produced a 19-dart game but his team lost 6/3 to Halfway Gents.
Tranny Lads and RNA kept within two points of the leaders, Tranny Lads beating Pavilions A 5/4 and RNA winning 6/3 against Prospect Has Beens.
Red Admiral went fourth after beating Union Tavern 5/4, the losers Norman Cole hit a maximum. Cherry Tree A Team beat RAOB Buffs 5/4.
In the second round of the Apec Taxis KO Cup Tranny Lads and Union Pods both beat higher graded opponents.
Navvy beat Red Admiral 5/4 with an 11 dart game from Ian Darlington, Albion's 8/1 win against Lion included 13 dart games from Colin Rigby and Phil Littler and a 104 finish from John Kilkenny.
The only maximum of the night came from Brian Davies (Wilsons).
