Beechwood 3 HBC 3
THE terrible conditions were matched only by the performance of the referee who robbed Beechwood of all three points.
A display, described by the Beechwood coach as "inept", was capped with a controversial injury time penalty.
The hosts opened the scoring through Alex Pill and took their lead into the second half.
They doubled their advantage with a free kick from Bobby Hughes.
HBC were awarded a penalty, which was saved, only to be re-taken for encroachment and duly converted. Mike Adams soon restored Beechwood's two goal advantage after breaking the off side trap.
HBC grabbed a lifeline with a deflected goal, and Beechwood were denied all three points when the referee awarded HBC another spot kick. The only consolation is Beechwood remain unbeaten.
