IRISH band The Saw Doctors are coming to the Manchester Apollo on December 20.
The group, who have featured in the UK top 20 with such songs as World of Good and To Win Just Once, and had a nine-week No 1 hit in Ireland with I Useta Lover, have proved consistently popular with their alternative rock tunes.
Tours
Indeed the band have undertaken coast-to-coast tours in America and performed on such British stages as the Glastonbury Festival and The Royal Albert Hall.
The group has even featured in the 1991 Channel 4 documentary Sing A Powerful Song.
In 2000 they represented Ireland at the World Expo Festival in Hannover, Germany.
Seven of the group's songs featured in the US film The Tavern.
David Sinclair of The Times called the group 'the latest in this strangely noble line of the people's band'.
And Geoffrey Himes of The Washington Post labelled them "one of the world's most appealing roots-rock outfits".
Band member Leo Moran describes his group's range of works as encompassing "country to punk to pop and rock 'n' roll", ensuring concerts which are popular with fans of many different musical genres.
