Man hunted after father dies in agony

A FATHER'S family were with him when he suffered a sustained and prolonged attack that led to his death, police revealed yesterday.

Officers said three members of Brian Waters' family were at Burnt House Farm, near Knutsford, throughout his ordeal on June 19.

Killed

"They had been present while he was killed and two of them were also threatened," said Detective Inspector Paul Rumney.

Yesterday as more details about the incident emerged, police launched an international hunt for another man wanted for questioning about Mr Waters' death.

Cheshire Police named him as 25-year-old Christopher Guest More, formerly of Lymm.

He flew to Spain just days after Mr Waters was found dead and a 20-year-old man was found seriously injured at the farm off the A556. This week as police offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible, it emerged that investigators had now contacted the Spanish authorities for help.

For Mr More - described as muscular with a scar on the bridge of his nose - is thought to be in Marbella.

Yesterday (Tuesday) Chief Inspector Phil Jones said holidaymakers could help.

"If you are going abroad please remember his face," he said.

A red Mercedes coupe seen outside Mr More's home also disappeared soon after the incident at Tabley.

Police appealed for anyone who had bought a similar car recently to call them.

Anyone who sees Mr More has been told not to approach him and instead contact police.

"We don't know if he is still in Spain, whether he has returned to this country or moved to somewhere else in the world," said Chief Insp Jones.

If you have any information about the incident call 01244 613550 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
