WITH reference to 'Medication should be free' in last week's World, the lady concerned CAN get her medication free because she has a long-term illness that requires life-long medication.
I too suffer from a long-term medical condition that requires life-long medication.
I applied for a medical exemption certificate from my local health authority. There are special forms available at Halton Hospital and any NHS health centre.
I hope this information will be beneficial to the lady in question. I also agree with her regarding drug addicts getting their heroin free on the HNS. It is disgusting.
People with life-long illnesses and medical conditions do not choose to be ill. Drug addicts should not get their heroin free. Let them pay for their prescriptions like the rest of us.
