BUSCH Garden Bulldogs moved into pole position in Warrington's Estellevillas.com Short Mat Indoor Family Bowls League with a 7-2 win against Universal Hulks.
They were indebted to excellent bowling from Tony Maddock, Lewis Wightman and Margaret Hodgson in the triples matches plus Damian Morrison and Louise Sullivan in the pairs.
The Hulks' solitary victory came courtesy of Oliver Ellison, Lee Bailey and Maureen Ellison.
Previous leaders Wet 'n' Wild Sharks suffered a 9-0 defeat at the hands of Ponderosa Panthers. The Panthers moved up into fourth place on the back of the shock result. Their star players were Tracey Bailey, Martin Deakin and Jack Wightam.
Epcot Shuttles boosted their title chances with a 6-3 victory over Downtown Flyers. Father and son partnership David and Liam Sullivan shone for the Shuttles as did the pairing of Stephen Yule and Tony Wightman.
Daniel Roberts and Ross Wightman managed to secure some points for the Flyers by winning the last game in style.
