THELWALL Infant School has marked the opening of its refurbishment by inviting back its first head teacher from 1976.
June Evans, who opened the building back in that year, visited the school on Tuesday last week for the ceremony, joined by children, staff and the Mayor of Warrington, Clr Pauline Nelson.
Current head teacher Janette Snelson said: "We are thrilled to have a working environment which is bright, modern and fully adapted to current teaching methods."
The refurbishment work has included improvements to the school's kitchen area, hall, entrance and office accommodation.
