Mr John Albert Stringer, husband of the late Mrs Gladys Kathleen Stringer, died on August 5, aged 80.
Mr Stringer, of Poplars Avenue, Orford, was born in Warrington and lived in Orford for more than 30 years.
He enjoyed gardening, holidays, socialising with friends, and loved the company of his family.
He leaves two daughters, a son, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A service was held on October 16 at St Andrew's Church, followed by interment at Fox Covert. The Rev Michael Raynor officiated.
Arrangements were made by Cheshire Funeral Services.
