Mr Harold C J Dendy, husband of Mrs Eunice Dendy, died on November 19, aged 80.
Mr Dendy was born in Warrington and lived in Walton and Acton Bridge.
He was employed as an ophthalmic optician with a practice in Widnes, retiring in 1994 at the age of 71.
Mr Dendy leaves his wife, a daughter, two sons, a granddaughter, a grandson and a sister.
A service was held on November 28 at All Saints Parish Church, Daresbury. The Rev David Felix officiated.
Donations were sent to the British Heart Foundation and the Stroke Association.
Arrangements were made by Nagle Brothers.
