A ROYAL Marine has appeared at Liverpool Crown Court accused of raping a woman beneath railway arches near St Helens Central Station.
It is alleged Neil Roberts, 19, of Providence Street, Parr, raped a 48-year-old woman in the early hours of Sunday, October 5. He was granted conditional bail and will next appear before Liverpool Crown Court on February 9.
