A NOSTALGIC concert is set to make history in Widnes this weekend.
Closing Time could be the last gig ever staged at the Queens Hall.
"People who have in the past graced the stage as their songs boomed out and echoed round the high ceiling have been asked to come and play for one last time," said local singer songwriter and performer Greg Oldfield. "It will always hold some great memories for me."
The line up on Saturday, April 24 includes The Andy Steele Band, Greg Oldfield, The Chimps, Jason Quinsey, Cornerstone, Coalhouse, The Acorahs, Lovecraft, Loki and Clive Little.
Two stages facing each other on the floor of the main hall - Jules Holland style - promise to make it a lively interactive evening.
Bands will perform on one side with an acoustic stage on the other.
Poetry and even a bit of theatre might be included.
Tickets are £2 in advance from the Queens Hall or £3 on the door.
