HELP is needed to decide which piece of artwork will mark the start of the Sandstone Trail in Frodsham.

Vale Royal Borough Council has commissioned environmental artist Stephen Charnock to design a piece of artwork for the trail as part of the Sandstone Trail arts project.

It will be situated outside the Bears Paw pub to appeal to the community of Frodsham and provide a visual landmark for the trail.

There are three possible designs and Frodsham residents are being asked to choose their favourite.

Stephen Charnock has produced a great deal of work throughout the county and has already completed the Wild Boar seat project as part of the Sandstone Trail arts project.

The proposed designs will be displayed at a number of venues around the town, including Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane; the Bears Paw pub, Main Street and Castle Park Arts Centre, from April 13 to May 13 and there will be voting slips and voting boxes or envelopes at all of these sites.

Voting slips can also be returned to Anne-Marie Rickus, Vale Royal Borough Council, Wyvern House, The Drumber, Winsford, CW7 1AH, or dropped off at the Frodsham Forward Shop, High Street, or at the sites around Frodsham.

The deadline for votes is May 13 when the designs will be taken down.

There is also a public meeting on Tuesday, April 27, at Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, at 7.30pm, to discuss the designs and the project.
