MORRISONS announced today, Wednesday, that it has set up a free bus service to take shoppers to its supermarket at Crewe while cleaning up operations get under way at the Winsford store.
The store, on Nat Lane in Winsford, suffered smoke damage when fire destroyed the store's warehouse in the early hours of Tuesday.
General manager David Gratton said: "Although it is still less than 24 hours since the fire, we have already re-opened our petrol station and all of our efforts are now being ploughed into making sure the store itself is up and running again, as quickly as possible.
"Although the warehouse has been destroyed, the store has only suffered smoke damage, and we are confident it will be operational again very soon."
"The free bus service, which will operate from the store, will remain in service until we re-open in Winsford."
