SECTION four runners-up Dev Superstars are through to the semi-finals of the Town Championship after a shock 7/2 win against section two champions Tranny Lads.

Tricorn beat Albion after Ian King won the deciding game.

Ian White (Wilsons) hit a maximum but his team lost 7/2 to Halfway A, while section one champions Navvy beat section four's Quayside 8/1. Best for Navvy was a 19-dart game from Graham Littlemore.

In the Executive competition the derby at the Pavilions saw Pavilions B recover from 4/3 down to win 5/4 against Pavilions A.

The only section one clash saw Lion Doo Waps beat Roundhouse A 6/3. Section one's Wanderers beat section two's Halton Marauders by the same margin.

Likely Lads progressed to the semi finals with a 5/4 win against section two opponents RAOB Buffs.

In the Doubles competition Eamonn Hartigan and Steve Hughes (Albion) beat Steve Allan and Tom Humphries (Tranny Lads) at Navigation.

They beat Mike Madigan and John Antrobus (Wilsons) 2/1 and then Ian King and Peter Revill (Tricorn) 2/1 who had previously accounted for Graham and Terry Ridgway (Wanderers) 2/1.

Steve and Tom had a bye in the first game and reached the semi finals with a 2/0 win against Steve McKay and Keith Massey (Halfway Gents) the latter having previously beaten Nigel and Jack Peterson (Albion).

Halfway A players won at the War Memorial Club with John Hale and Karl Dand and then Neil Connor and Jim Reynolds winning.

John and Karl produced a 15-dart game in beating Mike O'Dwyer and James Getty (Royal Oak) 2/0, before beating fellow Halfway A opponents Wally Nethercott and Chris Stubbs 2/0.

Wally and Chris had accounted for Bert Biddulph and Ken Ingram (RNA) 2/1, Neil and Jim won 2/1 against previous champions John Kilkenny and Paul Melia (Albion) before beating Steve and Gary Roberts (Tricorn) 2/0.

Steve, who had hit the only maximum of the night, and Gary had previously beaten several times champions Ian White and Gerry Burke (Wilsons) 2/0.

Thursday sees the first of the leagues six finals nights, at the RNA Club.

These include the final of the Apec Taxis KO cup between Albion and Navvy and the section four stage of the Committee Challenge cup between Navvy Lads and Dev Superstars.

Friday is the Chairman's Challenge cup final between Navvy and Wilsons and the section three final of the Committee Challenge cup between Royal Oak and Grapes.

Next Thursday night, April 29, two further finals will be staged this time at the War Memorial Club. These are the final of the Todger Jones cup between Albion and Navvy Lads and the section two final of the Committee Challenge cup between Halfway Gents and Red Admiral.

This will be followed next Friday with the final of the Best Sports cup between Tricorn and Tranny Lads and the Committee Challenge cup section one final between either Wilsons or Tricorn and Halfway A.

All ties start at 8pm with the order of play drawn on the night.

Wilsons and Tricorn's postponed semi final match in the section one stage of the Committee Challenge cup is on Thursday at the RNA Club.
