AN MS awareness day is being held at The Daresbury Park Hotel, Daresbury on Saturday, May 1 at 12 noon.
The event is a continuation of MS Week (April 18-25) aimed at promoting greater understanding of the condition.
Organisers are hoping to set up a local support group for people with MS, which is one of the most common disabling neurological condition affecting young adults. Around 85,000 people in the UK have MS.
On April 23, the MS Society will host national MS cake break day.
Now in its fifth year, this indulgent event attracts a wide range of cake eaters, of all ages. The Society is asking people to invite friends, colleagues, family or customers to enjoy a slice of cake or two in support of the MS Society.
For details of the event at Daresbury, please visit www.bridgems.org or ring Julie Henney on 0151-487 6749.
