ANCIENT puppetry techniques have been brought to life in an exciting new interactive exhibition at Liverpool Museum.
Beautiful and rare exhibits include Burmese string puppets, rod puppets from Java, Thai shadow puppets and Vietnamese water puppets.
Visitors can handle and play with puppets and even experience what it feels like to be a shadow puppet. A large backlit screen and various costumes are available to make it as authentic as possible.
Sooty, Muffin the Mule and various characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets are also on display.
An original Codman Punch and Judy stall and a set of one third life sized Beatles puppets in Sergeant Pepper costumes are just some of the many other attractions.
This fascinating exhibition runs until September 5.
