A TEENAGE motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a head-on collision with a car.
The smash occurred on Wednesday last week when a 16-year-old from Warrington was riding a 50cc Yamaha moped in Croft.
At around 10.10pm his bike collided with a Ford Escort near the junction of Winwick Lane and Barrow Lane.
Both drivers were taken to Warrington Hospital.
The motorcyclist broke his arm, leg and wrist, but his injuries are not life threatening.
The driver of the Ford Escort suffered severe shock.
Traffic police want to speak to the driver of a large HGV, who they believe may have witnessed the crash. They are appealing for any other motorists who saw the smash to come forward.
Anyone with information should call PC Andrew Doran on 01244 613813.
