PARISH councillors are calling for the gates to Alexander Park bowling greens to be locked at night, preventing trespassing vehicles.
Villagers were shocked in January when joyriding youths cut up the well-kept lawn by driving cars onto the greens.
This month, councillors from Stockton Heath will speak to Town Hall bosses urging them to lock gates in the evening. They will discuss ideas for a new pedestrian access.
Two months ago, repair work was needed after vandals left skid marks and depressions in the turf along with damage to the boardings.
