FINAL arrangements for next month's annual Stockton Heath Steam Party are nearing completion.
Organisers say that the rally, on May 8, is expected to be bigger and better than ever with a host of entertainment for villagers.
The fire service has agreed to put bunting up in Victoria Square the week before the event.
And The Mulberry Tree will clear tables from the car park to provide more space for the village's annual showpiece.
Speculation is mounting that a famous TV celebrity could be appearing but organisers say nothing has been confirmed.
The usual attractions are on offer with old bicycles, fairground organs and children from St Margaret's Primary School appearing in Victorian garb.
