COUNCILLORS in Stockton Heath say parking problems are mounting following pay and display charges on The Forge.
The new car parking system in the village is forcing visiting motorists to leave their vehicles in surrounding streets.
The trend is causing difficulty for some residents who complain it is becoming increasingly difficult to park in front of their own houses.
Suggestions have been made for a residents' parking scheme that could cost around £50 a year.
Clr Celia Jordan has repeatedly asked Town Hall bosses to consider Stockton Heath first when they undergo a parking revamp.
She said: "We are one of only three district centres in Warrington. We don't want to be left to the end in any improvements."
