I WAS recently admitted to the Daresbury ward of Warrington Hospital for a knee replacement.

I was very impressed with the consultant Mr Stewart's quiet confidence and caring manner.

I was amazed how busy the wards were and I found all the staff so professional. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

The cleanliness of the ward was also excellent.

So to anyone being admitted to the Daresbury ward and feeling very vulnerable, I would say: 'Have no fear, you are in good hands'.
