Crosfields 12
Wigan St Judes 36
CROSFIELDS went down in their last home match of the Arriva Trains Conference Division One to already promoted Wigan St Judes.
It leaves only one game, at unbeaten Wath Brow, to gain the league point required for survival in the division.
Crosfields started off well when Eddie Bannon crashed over from dummy half and Mike Redmond converted.
St Judes hit back with three unconverted tries before Redmond completed the first half scoring with a penalty.
Two tries in two minutes midway through the second half effectively won the game for the Wigan-based side.
Crosfields gained some consolation when the dangerous man of the match Matt Mahoney got the ball out of a tackle to feed Matty Barber for his first try at this level.
St Judes cemented their victory with two late tries, for a final score of 36-12.
