A 17-YEAR-OLD boy appeared before magistrates last week charged with attempting to rape a girl who was aged under 16.
On Thursday the youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, attended Warrington Youth Court to face two charges of attempted rape and indecent assault.
The alleged sex attack happened on February 15 in Warrington.
Last week, magistrates agreed to lift the defendant's curfew conditions. Since the offence the youth has been electronically tagged.
He was committed to Warrington Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on May 10.
