Mrs Agnes Holland, wife of the late Mr Robert Holland, died on January 21, aged 84.
Mrs Holland, of Hall Road, Woolston, was born in Martinscroft and lived in Warrington all her life.
She was first employed on leaving school as a basket-maker, then trained with the St John Ambulance Brigade and was last employed as a nursing assistant at Eaves Brow and Winwick Hospital.
She also gave up her employment to look after her parents.
Mrs Holland loved animals and was always looking after stray cats. She was a regular churchgoer and enjoyed socialising at home and within the local community.
She leaves brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.
A service was held on January 28 at St Peter's RC Church, followed by interment in Warrington Cemetery. The Rev Barry Dryden officiated.
Arrangements were made by Knox & Son.
