CUTS to bus services in Vale Royal have been given the go-ahead by the county council.
Thirty per cent of Cheshire's supported services will be lost in the shake-up, which aims to stop the council going further over its transport budget than it already has.
The council still expects to overspend by £473,000 on public transport over the financial year.
Councillors voted to offer no more advice to the executive committee at a special full council meeting today,Thursday.
The number 33 Winsford to Crewe service and the number three and 44 services from Northwich to Leftwich and Lostock will be withdrawn as a result of the service review.
Environment executive member Andrew Needham said: "We believe that Council Tax payers simply funding non-commercial, uneconomical buses is not the answer."
