A NEW support group for people affected by MS has been set up in Halton.
The group's first event was held at the Daresbury Park Hotel on Saturday and more than 60 people attended to learn more about the new Bridge MS Support Group.
Gary Campbell, author of Tap Dancing's Out gave a talk about his own experiences in dealing with MS and Nigel Ellis from the MS Society looked at the much needed support for people in Runcorn and Widnes.
Halton Council's Jim Chong provided information about the services available in the borough and Dr Bogilid, consultant neurologist from The Walton Centre looked at the past, present and future of MS.
Volunteer Stephen Williams said: "Our first event was a great success and we hope to provide valuable support for people who suffer from MS and their families."
