WIRE FM has crowned Rachel Williams their 'Club Idol 2004'.
Student Rachel, aged 21, was chosen from hundreds of hopefuls that auditioned over the 12-week competition at Brannigans in Warrington.
She wowed judges with her renditions of Signed, Sealed, Delivered and 'Play That Funky Music White Boy.
The public could vote by text for their favourite and Rachel scooped the top prize.
She won £500, a gold disc, a professionally recorded CD and the chance to perform at Wire fm events throughout the year.
She said: "At first I was just shocked. All the acts were so good I didn't think I had a chance."
