Let us face it, wherever we live in the Warrington area we experience speeding motorists.
I am a motorist and feel that speed cushions are the only answer. These make motorists slow down and, if driven over at a sensible speed, do not damage your vehicle. The people complaining about speed cushions damaging vehicles are the ones speeding over them and they get all they deserve. Speed cushions of the right size and height will not damage any vehicle if properly driven over. Travel too fast and risk damage to your vehicle.
Emergency vehicles and buses can straddle them with little effort, although some buses do travel too fast. I have been campaigning for the past five years to get them installed along Meeting Lane where I live but without success.
The majority of today's drivers speed, so we have to slow them down. I just wish they would install more speed cushions and speed cameras, not painted brightly for easy spotting and then perhaps the roads would be a lot safer.
