I read with a good deal of interest two articles in the Guardian, April 22, regarding housing in the area.
One was a young mother with three children living in one room, two boys and a girl sharing the same room, who had been trying for nine years to get upgraded but had failed. The other, a Hungarian gipsy, who is now placed in the highest priority banding.
Will anybody wish to take a bet that this gipsy will have the pick of the housing before one of our own? It will be said that this is a different list with different criteria?
I hope people reading this will be as disgusted as I am.
We need to say enough is enough.
