WARRINGTON Rugby Union Football Club's junior teams ended their season in outstanding form at the weekend.

The club had three teams competing in the annual Rochdale Mini Rugby Tournament. Two of them emerged as age group winners and the other finished as runners-up in the under nines section.

As a result, Warrington picked up the Team Cup as the club with the best aggregate score across all of the age groups.

Warrington's under 11s side won all of their games without conceding a single try.

Kieron Hughes bagged eight touch downs and Warrington's other try scorers were Chris Howard, Luke Moss, Thomas Arnold and James Brazendale.

Warrington's under eights team also enjoyed a 100 per cent record.

They beat Tyldesley in an enthralling final thanks to tries by Jacob Riley, Danny Ellis, Ben Hockenhull and James Johnson.

The try scorers in the qualifying stages included Will Fleetwood, Jack Gray and Charlie Davies.

Warrington's under nines beat Tarleton, Sedgeley Park, Littleboro and Rochdale in the qualifying stages before suffering a narrow defeat to Leigh in the final.

Jack Davies and Jonathan Burns scored their first tries of the season while Sam Nichols, Jack Johnson, Luke Mannion and Phil Manning also crossed the whitewash for Warrington.
