IT was all smiles for the Wolves fans' team who picked up their first victory in a game of contact Rugby League.
From the word go Wolves looked the strongest and by half-time had built up an 18-10 lead.
In the second period Wigan launched a fight back and clawed their way back to within six points.
However, a late break away try from Matthew Capwick ensured a home win.
Other tries were scored by Craig Middlemoore, two, Adam Williams, man of the match Andy Hawley, two, Dan Taylor and Paul Arnison.
Hawley booted six goals.
