Appleton lost for the first time this season in the Shammah Nicholls Cheshire Cricket Alliance.
They struggled to 80 all out at Wistaston with only Richard Clarke, 19, Jimmy Warham, 17 and Brian Woods, 20, making significant contributions.
Appleton Seconds recorded their first win of the campaign at home to Wistaston. Tight bowling restricted Wistaston to 150 and Lee Stoll was the pick of the bowlers, conceding only 16 runs in his 14 overs.
Appleton Thirds kept up their 100 per cent start to the season with a fine 11-run win against Northwich.
