A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl, who died after falling over in her school's playground, died of natural causes, an inquest has ruled.
Matilda 'Tilly' McGuinness suffered from a heart condition and had received treatment at Alder Hey Children's Hospital for cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle that causes it to lose its pumping strength.
On January 21 this year, Tilly collapsed while playing in the playground at her school, Our Lady's Primary in Latchford.
She was taken to Warrington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
