POLICE have recovered around £5,000 worth of property following the arrest of two men on suspicion of burglary.
Cheshire Police's Automatic Number Plate Recognition Unit (ANPR) arrested the men in Warrington during a two-day operation in the town last week.
The two men were taken into custody and were later released on police bail.
They are due to report back to Warrington Police Station on Wednesday, June 2.
The unit also arrested two people wanted on warrant.
The ANPR unit is an automated number plate recognition system that scans passing vehicle registrations and checks them against information stored on databases.
It can identify vehicles of interest to the police, such as stolen cars or those involved in crime.
Anyone with information about crime should contact Cheshire Police on 01244 350 000 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
