A DAD is appealing for witnesses after his son was attacked leaving the London Bridge pub in Stockton Heath.
The 20-year-old St Andrew's university medical student had come home for the Easter break. He met up with friends on Good Friday night and went for a drink at the London Bridge pub.
He left the pub at around 11pm.
His dad said: "When he left the pub he was shouted at by four youths who followed him down towards Victoria Square.
"At the level of Orchard Street he was assaulted and he was knocked unconscious for several minutes.
"He did not know who attacked him. It was totally unprovoked.
"He sustained head injuries and injuries to his jaw. He was kept in hospital over night."
He still suffers from a painful jaw and headaches.
If you know anything about the incident, call Stockton Heath police on 264700.
