POLICE are appealing for witnesses following theft of stainless steel pipes from W Maass UK Ltd, Bedford Street, Parr Industrial Estate.
The theft occurred between noon on Saturday, April 17, and 8 am on Monday, April 19.
Thirty-three lengths of six metre- long piping was taken, valued at £150,000.
A spokesman said: "The pipes cannot be used by anyone else due to a coding system which can only be obtained from W Maass prior to their use.
"This would appear to be a planned and organised incident due to the use of specialist lifting equipment and a vehicle capable of carrying heavy goods."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Gill Grounds, at St Helens CID on 0151 777 6070, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
