OVER 50s in Golborne can find out about services available to them at an open day on May 14 from 10am to 3pm.
Wigan's Sheltered Housing & Information Partnership (SHIP) is holding an awareness day at Ince Public Hall, with displays and demonstrations taking place throughout the day.
It will showcase organisations that provide services to the over 50s and have line dancing, tai chi, raffles and bingo plus the Houghton Weavers.
Helen Coffey, Wigan Council's older persons' network co-ordinator, said: "The whole event is free, it's fun and there's food to enjoy as well.
"We are even running short trips to local sheltered housing schemes so that people can what's available from close quarters."
Anyone wanting more information or help with transport to the venue should contact Helen Coffey on 01942 404501 or Julie Furnell on 01942 827964.
