THE world's most popular marathon lover, Sting, will be focusing his energies on his fans this week when he performs at the Manchester Arena.
On Saturday devotees of the super successful songwriter will be in their element when he unleashes a barrage of his old hits along with tracks from his more recent albums.
Not many artists can boast having careers that have spanned four decades but Sting, like Elton John, seems to have been at the top of the music pile for as long as most of us can remember.
He conquered America with The Police in the 70s and 80s and from there became a highly successful solo artist.
In recent years critics have said that his music is getting bland and ridiculed him for appearing in a car advert, calling him a hypocrite after all his "save the rainforests" pleas.
Nevertheless his army of supporters will be looking forward to an excellent show at the weekend.
