Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra make a welcome return to the Parr Hall tonight, Thursday.
The Orchestra has evolved into a disciplined 18-piece band and over the years they have developed a nationwide tour of some of the country's key music venues - including Glastonbury and the Albert Hall for a now traditional Christmas concert.
Tonight is therefore a real opportunity for Jools' fans to get a little more up close and personal than these bigger venues allow, with the Parr Hall offering a great 'party' atmosphere.
Over the years Jools has performed and recorded with some of the most talented musicians and songwriters in the world, including Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Sting and Paul Weller. He has also enjoyed tremendous TV success with his series, Later with Jools where he gives bands from every area of the business a platform for their music.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of watching Jools play the piano will know what a treat we are in for tonight.
