PLEASE, please can anyone out there help me and name the old coffee bar that was near to where the Kingsway Hotel is now, opposite to where the very old police station was in the '60s.
The late Ray Charles always played Take these chains from my heart on the jukebox downstairs in the cellar where we teenagers hung out playing table tennis.
This coffee bar was also near the Queens Hall where I saw a certain pop group called The Beatles - don't know whatever happened to them!
I would of course love to hear from anyone if there are any of us left from 1962/63.
I worked at the Weekly News then and before that I attended Kingsway School and I lived in West Bank.
