TWO courageous Runcorn children have been hailed Knights in Shining Armour by Camelot Theme Park.

Declan Hodgson, five, of Halton Road, was diagnosed with lupis when he was two and a half.

He has spent a lot of time in hospital and even missed a holiday because of his illness yet he is very happy and never complains.

His dad, Keith, said: "Declan misses out on a lot of things because of his condition and he really deserves a treat for being so brave.

"He has been through some tough times and seeing him knighted has been brilliant for the whole family."

Also knighted by Camelot was Eve Worthington, eight, of Beaconsfield Road, who has a younger brother, Elliot who is autistic.

Her mum, Joanne, said: "Eve misses out on things so it is really nice to give her a treat for a change.

"She has been a big help to me and is a fantastic sister. We are all proud of her. Today has been a brilliant day for the whole family."

King Arthur presented Declan, Eve and 29 other children from the North West and Yorkshire with a special award.
