TWELVE months ago the area around the Bechers shops was a no go area at night as gangs were there all night drinking and using drugs.
Now, thanks to the new community wardens, Ian Leadbetter and Stephen Marnick, the area is much better.
They do a great job and are always there if you need to ask them anything or get any advice.If you never see them when you want to they hold a meeting at Upton Community Centre every Thursday, 2pm-4pm.
You see them talking to all the local youths and the youths respect them.
