A MAJOR investment by a disaster restoration specialist is creating new jobs in Northwich.

More than £100,000 has been invested in the mid Cheshire franchise of Rainbow International by new franchisee Paul Simpson.

Already Paul has created three new jobs with the potential for more as the business, based on the Denton Drive trading estate, expands.

Rainbow International specialises in restoring homes and businesses following flood or fire as well as providing a domestic and commercial carpet and upholstery cleaning service.

Paul took over the mid Cheshire franchise on May 28 and intends to develop the business to take on large, insurance-based projects.

He said: "There's tremendous potential in this area for a restoration company that has the resources and expertise to handle large claims.

"I've already started the investment process by bringing in more staff, extra vehicles and heavy duty drying equipment to ensure we can meet the needs of our insurance clients.

"When a fire or flood hits a property the effects can be devastating but we have the expertise to turn round the situation and restore properties and their contents to pristine condition."

Paul is also making a name for himself in the gruelling world of triathlons. The 40-year-old took up the sport 18 months ago to lose weight and get fit.

Now he is 4st lighter and will be competing in his first Ironman event on July 18 in Wolverhampton, where he will swim for 2.4 miles, cycle for 112 miles and then run a marathon.

Paul can be contacted at Rainbow International Mid Cheshire on 01606 334411.
