EDUCATION officers are investigating the possibility of relocating Tarporley Primary School to the vacant Brook Farm site, which housed a residential home.
Plans have now reached the point where the council wants to employ consultants to look at both sites. There is a possibility of affordable housing and other community benefits being built on the school's present site on Park Road.
And as part of this process a letter has been sent to the Royal British Legion headquarters in London, asking if there is any mutual benefit in the proposal as Tarporley Royal British Legion's club is situated on a possible access road to any future housing.
It is believed the Royal British Legion headquarters have sent a letter to the Tarporley branch asking for their views on the situation.
It is a thriving club with some 250 members and the legion's car park is said to account for 30 per cent of the car parking spaces available in the village.
