What a waste

AFTER all the hoo-ha in the press about the Lion Salt Works proposing to raise £5million to save the buildings, a letter from Outsider last week, although short, summed up what myself and countless others think...what a waste of money.

Thousands have been raised so far but very little seems to have been done yet.

It's in the same unsafe condition it was when I was a lad.

Am I right in thinking that brine pumping from firms like the Lion Salt Works years ago was to blame for all the subsidence where buildings and roads disappeared into great caverns around Northwich, which is costing millions to put right today?

Will Andrew Fielding be making a contribution towards this cost after he has mended his sheds at the Lion Salt Works?

I think this white elephant is laid to rest.
