TATTON returned to league action on Saturday morning at Egerton Youth Club after a two-week break for the weather and County Cup matches.

They were slow to start and inevitably presented their opponents with the lead within 10 minutes when they failed to clear.

As the game developed Tatton's defence of Max Broadbent, David Coutts, Andrew Steadman, Brett Smith and goalkeeper Michael Glover-Smith took control.

Tatton were ferocious in midfield and man of the match Harry Wackett dominated the central areas with skipper Joel Wilbraham. The chances eventually came through the wing play of Harry Grayshon and Edward Whittaker and both Tom Lewis and Jonathan Allatt threatened.

When Lewis hit a post, Wilbraham was there to prod home his first goal of the season.

After half-time Tatton continued to dominate the midfield and Wackett, Lewis, Whittaker and Wilbraham all went close.

Oscar White had an excellent game at full back having filled in as substitute for most of the game and Matthew Wynne replaced Allatt up front as Tatton continued to go for the winner.

In the end they had to be satisfied with a draw which keeps them challenging for title honours.
